R. Burke Johnson (PhD, College of Education, University of Georgia) is a social-science and educational-research methodologist. Professor Emeritus Department of Counseling and Instructional Sciences, University of South Alabama; Executive Director of the Mixed Methods International Research Association (MMIRA); associate editor of the Journal of Mixed Methods Research (in its early years).
The author of numerous articles and books dedicated to research and its methodology. His publications have been cited 90,754 times (Google Scholar, February 3, 2024).

Best doctoral dissertations dedicated to the subject of education defended in 2022
The Pedagogical Research Methodology Section of the Committee on Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (SMBP KNP PAN) announces a competition for the best doctoral dissertations dedicated to the subject of education and distinguished in terms of content and methodology.
The call for submissions includes doctoral dissertations defended between 2022.01.01 and 2022.12.31, in accordance with the relevant act of the law published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland (Art. 13, § 1 of the Act of 14 March 2003 on academic degrees and degrees in the arts (Journal of Laws No. 65, item 595, as amended) or Art. 187 of the Act of 20 July 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science).
Information about the awarded dissertations will be announced on the website of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and included in the bulletin of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences.
Authors of the awarded dissertations will receive certificates confirming the received award.
Extended deadline for submissions for the SMBP KNP PAN Award: October 30, 2023.
